Hans4D Privacy Policy

Scope
This policy describes AeroFrohne LLC’s handling of information through the Hans4D iPhone app and its report-hosting service. It supplements the website privacy policy. Contact info@aerofrohne.com or +1 361 356 7002 with questions or requests.
Projects on your device
Hans4D stores your projects, entered addresses, measurements, photos, architectural models, and point-cloud scans on your device. Camera and LiDAR access supports capture. Microphone access is used when you enable voice control; the app’s speech-recognition workflow requires on-device recognition and does not save recordings or transcripts. Merely capturing a scan does not publish it. Device backups and files you share through other apps are handled by those services under their policies.
Optional Hans4D accounts
You may create a Hans4D account using an email address and password. Supabase processes account credentials, account identifiers, verification, password reset, and sessions. Verification and reset emails are sent through our Google Workspace email service. Account credentials are separate from your Apple Account and subscription. Signing in does not upload or synchronize your scan library; project files remain on the iPhone where they were created. Each signed-in account has a separate local workspace.
Location lookup
When you request the current project address, Hans4D obtains location with your permission and uses Apple’s address-lookup service. The resulting address is saved in the project. You can enter an address manually instead and manage permission in device Settings. A saved address can appear in a report you later publish.
Online report sharing
Publishing sends the report and associated project content to AeroFrohne hosting. This can include project and room names, property addresses, measurements, drawings, environment-scan information, and other content included in the report. Hosted reports are accessible using their links. Anyone receiving a link can forward it or retain copies. We use Netlify to host reports linked to your signed-in Hans4D account. These reports are associated with your verified account identifier and can be removed through account deletion in the app. Reports published without account ownership, including older reports, use our existing Netlify and GitHub hosting and are not automatically assigned to a new account. Those reports can remain available after account deletion, local deletion, or subscription expiration; contact us with the report link to request removal. Public copies and recipients’ downloads may remain outside our control.
Installation verification and security
Apple App Attest helps verify legitimate installations and authorize publication. Our service stores installation-key identifiers, verification records, and report associations. Network providers process connection information, and the publishing service uses hashed IP-derived identifiers and request counters to prevent abuse. We use these records for app functionality and security, not advertising tracking.
Subscriptions
Apple processes subscription payments and manages Apple Account purchase information. Hans4D reads StoreKit product and entitlement information to determine access and restore purchases. AeroFrohne does not receive your payment-card details through this app. Apple’s privacy and payment terms apply to its services.
Retention and your choices
Local content remains until you delete it, remove the app, or otherwise lose that device data. Keep your own backups. You can delete your online account in Hans4D account settings after confirming your password. Successful deletion removes the account identity, its account-linked hosted report content, and its local workspace on that iPhone. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase files on other devices or held by recipients. If hosted cleanup cannot complete, the app reports an error and keeps the account available for another deletion attempt; account-linked publishing remains stopped once cleanup begins. Minimal account and report deletion markers remain to prevent an interrupted upload from restoring deleted content. Installation verification, temporary challenges, upload, and rate-limit records are retained for service security and their applicable cleanup periods. Older reports without verified account ownership require a separate ownership-verified removal request. You may ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold and withdraw device permissions in Settings. We may need the report link or other information to verify that a request concerns your content. We do not sell your app information or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Children and changes
Hans4D is an architectural capture and documentation tool and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed. We will update this page when practices change and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
