Licensed Land Surveyor — Washington, District of Columbia
AeroFrohne is expanding its licensed land surveyor partner network in Washington, District of Columbia to support hybrid field and documentation work across the Washington, DC market and nearby District of Columbia project sites. Licensed surveyors in the Washington, DC market are invited to apply.
Role Description
This is an independent contractor Licensed Land Surveyor role for Washington, District of Columbia, supporting AeroFrohne projects through a hybrid mix of Washington-area field coordination and remote documentation. Responsibilities include boundary and retracement survey support, ALTA/NSPS land title survey coordination, topographic survey documentation, platting support, site verification, and deliverables for commercial, residential, civic, campus-adjacent, and infrastructure-oriented projects in the Washington, DC market and nearby District of Columbia sites. Strong communication, schedule discipline, quality control, and the ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and field capture teams are required. Active District of Columbia licensure is required; multi-state licensure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support Washington-area surveying documentation and client deliverables aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate with AEC and field teams to validate site conditions, access constraints, boundaries, easements, and right-of-way considerations.
- Maintain schedule discipline, professional communication, and quality control for hybrid field and remote documentation workflows.
- Prepare or review boundary and retracement survey support materials.
- Support ALTA/NSPS land title survey coordination and due-diligence deliverables.
- Support topographic survey documentation for Washington, District of Columbia and nearby District of Columbia sites.
- Support platting, site verification, and record drawing coordination where applicable.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Surveyor credential in District of Columbia.
- B.S in Geomatics.
- Located in or able to support projects in the Washington, DC market.
- Willing to support hybrid work that may include Washington-area field visits, remote documentation, and occasional travel for nationwide projects.
- Criminal background investigation required.
