Reality Capture Assistant
Support AeroFrohne field teams with site preparation, equipment staging, project documentation, and reality capture workflows. No equipment ownership or prior reality capture experience is required.
Role Description
This is an entry level, independent contractor, project based field support role in Corpus Christi Texas where the Reality Capture Assistant's work under the direction of a lead technician to coordinate with the client for scheduling, prepare capture areas, stage and pack equipment, track progress, take field notes, and support safe, organized on site work. You will be walking to capture property measurements with AeroFrohne's Matterport Pro3. You will need to add trim, mirrors, and windows as needed within the Matterport App. You are expected to upload the model immediately after capture, adding the correct tag, labels, and or JOB ID to each scan. Role specific direction and training is provided; applicants do not need to own a Matterport Pro3, scanner, camera, or other reality capture equipment and do not need prior Matterport, LiDAR, or reality capture experience. The industries you will scan are oil and gas infrastructure, vacation rentals, medical facilities, warehouses, restaurants, and other industrial complexes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead technician with site access, capture area preparation, equipment staging, and packing.
- Help track rooms, capture progress, field notes, and project checklists.
- Reduce temporary obstructions when authorized and help keep capture paths organized.
- Handle project equipment carefully under the lead technician’s direction.
- Follow site safety, privacy, confidentiality, and client instructions.
- Communicate availability and project status clearly and professionally.
Requirements
- No prior Matterport, LiDAR, or reality capture experience required.
- No scanner, camera, or Matterport Pro3 ownership required.
- Ability to follow instructions, learn field workflows, and work carefully on client sites.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and professional communication.
- Sign an NDA and non solicit agreement.
- Pass a criminal background investigation.
